About Our Company
Confidentiality
As a result of the POPI Act, people are made to feel comfortable with the idea that their personal details are protected and confidential. At BDW Bureau, one of the main features and topics of importance is exactly that – confidentiality. Patients are obligated to supply practitioners and providers with personal information about themselves and their medical wellbeing and are most often sensitive regarding this kind of privacy. At BDW Bureau, we aim to maintain that privacy of personal information together with South African Law, protecting patients’ private information and their rights to equal importance.
Not only do we take the privacy of all patient information seriously, but also that of the practitioner. Our human interaction in the process of medical billing is adhered to, but so is the automatic and systemic department of the billing process. Our equipment and operational resources are protected with adequate security, leaving no opportunity for unauthorized personnel or members of the public viewing confidential information.
Backs-ups of data are made on a daily basis along with all major backups of all systems on a weekly basis, providing peace of mind that the practitioners and patients data and information is safe at all times. The back-up is stored on secure and reliable servers off site (cloud-based) enabling no loss of data.
Why use a Medical Bureau
There are many benefits in the appointing of a medical bureau to see to your medical billing needs. Of these most importantly, is the saving of time. Stationary, telephone bills, internet costs all form part of an administrative procedure and process – relieving the practitioner of this enables them to use their time more productively and focus on what matters most: the healthcare of their patients.
Not only are the administrative burdens a thing of the past, but due to the systems and resources available to you as the practitioner through the use of a bureau, the constant follow-up with medical aids and patients about their outstanding costs and payments are avoided.
